Cool Form: The Science, Results, and Post-Treatment Care
What is Cool Form?
Jack Nathan Medspa is pleased to offer Cool Form. Cool Form is the latest cryolipolysis technology that uses cool temperatures to target unwanted subcutaneous fat in stubborn parts of the body. The applicators are placed in areas of concern and the fat is cooled to –5 degrees Celsius. During this treatment, the fat cells undergo a process known as programmed cell death. Essentially the fat cells die and are then slowly eliminated from the body through the lymphatic system and the liver. This process can take about 90 days to complete, therefore, results are typically seen after 90 days or 3 months.
Each treatment reduces fat by 23% and is permanent since fat cells only develop twice in a human lifetime, once in vitro and a second time during puberty. To complement the results from a Cool Form treatment, clients are encouraged to massage the area daily for 2 weeks to assist the fat elimination and continue with healthy diet and lifestyle choices.
What is Cryolipolysis?
Cryolipolysis, which is generally known as “fat freezing,” is a non-invasive cosmetic procedure which helps to reduce the appearance and size of localized areas of fat. The method works by using controlled cooling to target and freeze fat cells. These frozen fat cells then gradually get eliminated by the body’s natural metabolic processes. It is a controlled process as during the treatment the surrounding skin and tissue remain unharmed throughout the procedure. This method works well because it is known that fat cells are more susceptible to damage from cold temperatures than other surrounding tissues.
Cool Form is a device that utilizes cryolipolysis technology to achieve a contoured appearance by reducing the size of localized fat. It typically consists of specialized applicators in various sizes that are placed on the target areas, such as the abdomen, arms, thighs, bra line or love handles. These applicators cool the area to a specific temperature, causing the fat cells to crystallize and eventually die. Over time, the body processes and eliminates these dead fat cells through natural metabolic processes, resulting in a reduction of fat in the targeted areas. Cool Form is often used as a non-surgical alternative to liposuction ,providing a way to contour the body without the need for invasive surgical intervention.

How Many Sessions of Cool Form Do You Need?
The process of fat dissolving through cryolipolysis with the Cool Form device is gradual and thus clients typically require multiple sessions depending on the size and area of the localized fat. Fat reduction will typically occur over several weeks to months following the treatment after which results are seen. Patients may notice a visible reduction in fat in the treated areas, which leads to a more contoured and slim appearance. It’s important to note that while cryolipolysis is effective in reducing fat in localized targeted areas, it is vital to maintain these results by having a healthy lifestyle with proper diet and exercise.
It is important to keep in mind that many individuals need at least 2 to 3 treatments to get the best results. Cool Form treatments can be done 4-8 weeks apart depending on which body part was treated. Your practitioner may recommend coming back in 4 weeks to assess the response and preliminary results of the treatment.
When will I see results from Cool Form?
Clients can expect a gradual reduction of fat volume. Results may start to become visible three weeks post-treatment and continue to develop over the course of three to four months. Full results are typically seen after 90 days.
Does Cool Form Require downtime?
Unlike many other forms of fat reduction treatments, Cool Form has minimal discomfort and downtime. The recovery process is so convenient in comparison to more invasive treatments, that most patients are immediately able to return to their routines.
Are there side effects after Cool Form Treatment?
Some minor complications include redness, which resolves on its own within a few hours to a couple of weeks post-treatment. Bruising can last up to three weeks. If any other concerns arise or if these symptoms do not heal in the provided time frames clients are instructed to book a medical reassessment with the service provider.
Scheduling a follow-up assessment 48 hours post-treatment is good practice along with a reassessment three to four months after the last sessions in the series to review if desired results were met or if some additional sessions or treatment in parallel would be beneficial.
After Cool Form Treatmeants
After removing the Cool Form applicator(s), the treatment provider will massage the area(s) for two minutes to relieve stiffness, redness and the cold sensation. Patients are advised to continue massaging the treated area for two minutes each day. Medication is rarely required during the recovery process although it is recommended to drink plenty of water, eat a healthy and balanced diet and maintain an exercise regimen to obtain optimal results.

What is Cool Form?

What to expect during your Cool Form treatment?
Our practitioner delivers the treatment by applying the applicator to the bra area in a 35-minute cycle followed by a 2-minute massage post-treatment. Clients can expect a pulling, cold, stinging, cramping sensation for the first 5-7 minutes which is caused by nerve endings being sensitive to temperature changes, this subsides as the area becomes colder. Clients can expect redness, bruising, swelling, mild tenderness and potentially numbness for 1-2 weeks post-treatment.
When will I see the results from Cool Form?
The results are evident in a few weeks and continue to improve over the next 3 months as the body eliminates the fat cells. Clients are encouraged to massage the area for 2 minutes daily and return to the clinic after 3-4 weeks to assess results.
How many Cool Form treatments will I need?
Some patients will experience results within one treatment, but results may vary depending on your body type.
Is there downtime after doing Cool Form?
Cool Form has little to no downtime. You can return to work and normal activities immediately after their treatment.
